Adventures in Tie Dying
In my newsletter a couple weeks ago, I shared how tie dying for the first time hit me with a spike of anxiety the moment I dripped dye onto the shirt.
After noticing and acknowledging the moment, I took steps to nurture my Creative Glow and feel much better (and pretty darn proud) of what I created.
My first version didn’t have enough color on it, and while it didn’t look bad, it conveyed how hesitant I was about the process. A few days later, I retwisted my shirt and used the rest of the dye. This is satisfying because I felt like I wasn’t wasting anything (another one of my triggers) and gave me a chance to create a different ending to my story.
And you know what, I’m delighted at the result. Even if it’s not a shirt I’m going to wear all the time, it represents how I worked through something that was affecting my Glow and feel better for it. And that’s a feeling I’ll remember each time I wear it.
Does your Creative Glow need support?
This could feel like-
Returning to yourself and refilling the well by taking the time to be intentionally still versus frozen.
Remembering to follow your curiosity and connecting with what spark of what you desire to create and why.
Reclaiming and owning your desire focusing it in ways to create something new.
Radiating with excitement as you take aligned actions and see your project come to life before your eyes.
If you’re feeling totally lost, start by creating your Glow Map. It’s an intuitive drawing exercise that will help you feel a sense of where your Glow is flourishing, and where it needs support.
