Fortune Telling Dog

I’m heading to the Gilmore Girls FanFest in CT this weekend and I’m so excited for a number of reasons. I mean of course, there is the nerding out on a solo/girls trip. Deciding what to pack is already a challenge to accommodate both the weather and the themed outfits I want to wear.

I learned that a lot of people create trading “token” gifts to share with other fans so I was brainstorming ideas of what I could bring. At first I wanted to do something with the key Logan tries to give Rory in the Revival so that she has a place to write her book, but buying a bunch of old keys was more than I wanted to do and busting our my Cricut to make them out of paper made the idea start to fizzle for me.

This had me stumped for a while because I really wanted to do something that was a deeper reference to the show, but also something that lit me up and I’d be excited to share with fellow fans.

But on my daily walk, I had a spark of an idea that I loved and discovering a Lorelai Gilmore inspired GPT made it come together like magic. I created Doggie Swami scratch-off fortune cards to honor Stars Hollow’s quirkiest dog and put my own twist on one of the best booths from one of the many town festivals featured on the show.

I can’t wait to meet fellow fans, cast and crew and enjoy a weekend in our own version of Stars Hollow!

Leave a comment and I’ll share a fortune with you too!
